In this era of increasing economic slowdown where people do not have job seurity the season II indian preimer league is taking place.Crores and Crores of rupees are being spent on player salaries,transportation costs to SA,Hotels etc ..... and for what???
Half empty stands ,slow pitches ,low scoring /one sided matches!!!!!!!!!
I seriously think that this edition will be a flop on many notes.
-> The IPL is clashing with the rugby season in SA and rugby being one of thier main sports cricket is going to take a huge blow in terms of fan following
->The weather is almost allways playing spoilsport and so we are almost allways having rain affected matches
->The IPL being held in SA the excitement level is not high as compared to season I
->Slow pitches, overcast weather have taken the much loved slam-bang out of the equation
->Finally on the financial front,after the huge player salaries/transportation costs/low fan turnout it would be difficult for the franchises to make profit
